Island of the blissful…
All of Spain and Portugal had no power. And without electricity, no internet. Everywhere in Spain? Well, in Mallorca we noticed occasional awkward moments for a few seconds while using the internet. Otherwise, we were able to continue working with our coworkers.
Have we learned something again: Mallorca has a special situation when it comes to power supply. Good to know in case this chain of unfortunate phenomena should happen again!

Tiny Coworking ahead
This May, Rayaworx Coworking celebrates its 10th anniversary. Over the past few years, we’ve adapted our concept and our premises several times to changing market trends. Most recently, we acquired two soundproof phone booths for the many parallel video conferences.
In 2025, we’ll once again be adapting to developments in our village and the surrounding region. „Shrink to fit“: We’re focusing on one of the three spaces on the ground floor of our building. Starting in mid-June, „Tiny Coworking“ best describes the offerings of Rayaworx Coworking in Santanyí.

Letting go
One of the three spaces is now permanently in new use, as we previously reported. Therefore, there are a few things we’ll be letting go of in the near future. If you liked the blue armchairs, our white chairs, one of the desks, or… – please feel free to contact us
What’s particularly difficult for us are the cool telephone boxes. Doris did so much research in 2021, because most of the offers are tailored to large companies with high investment. For us, they also had to be sustainable. And at the same time, small enough to fit well into our coworking space. We found them – and now, with a heavy heart, we have to part with them again.
If you know someone here in Mallorca whom you can recommend to buy one of the boxes – please do! They’re in great condition, sustainably produced in Portugal, and no longer available from the manufacturer in this form with a small footprint.

Fresh from the press, coworking host Doris Schuppe will present her second business novel, „ALL FAKE!? Discovering Generative AI with Fiona“ (GERMAN). In the cozy patio, she will read from this book and reference some passages from her first book (which was set in Santanyí, Mallorca).
In her new book, she takes her audience to picturesque Munich, the city where we spent many happy years before moving to Mallorca. The „northernmost city in Italy,“ known not only for its rich history and cultural diversity, but also as a vibrant center of technological innovation. Against this backdrop, Doris unfolds the story, which delves into the fascinating and sometimes disturbing world of generative artificial intelligence…
