Yellow clover in the fields, delicate almond blossoms in white and pink, yellow aeonium cones everywhere: this is Mallorca’s winter in the first two months of the year. Our current coworkers are thrilled by the green variety of plants and the bright flowers. What’s more, many days enrich their free time with bright blue skies and sunshine.
Oh, we’re happy for them. We’re enjoying nature less ourselves. Why is that? It’s simple: for us, the turn of the year is linked to a change in the coworking space.

Change?
This year in May, Rayaworx Coworking celebrates its 10th anniversary. We’ve adapted our concept and the workspace to changing market developments several times in recent years. Most recently, we purchased two soundproof telephone boxes for the many parallel video conferences.
In 2025, we are once again adapting to developments in our village and the surrounding region. We are now renting out one of our three spaces permanently. Perhaps you learnt about the use of this space as a pop-up art space last year? That’s exactly where Carmen has now moved in.

Who is Carmen?
Our new co-tenant is Carmen García Dahm. And she has brought her concept store »Spaces40« from Artà to us in Santanyí. There she offers high-quality clothing and selected design objects.
She has also brought along the »Women’s Network Mallorca«, which she initiated. The first lunch in the south-east took place in Santanyí in February. At the Online Salon, Doris spoke with her about business and networking in Mallorca.

Letting go
One of the three areas is now permanently in new use. We therefore have one or two things that we will be letting go of in the near future. If you liked the blue armchairs, our white chairs, one of the desk chairs or a table – please get in touch with us.
What we’re finding particularly hard to give away are the cool phone boxes. Doris has done so much research in 2021, because most of the offers are designed for large companies. And they also had to be sustainable. And small enough to fit into a cosy coworking space. We found them and now we have to part ways again.
If you know anyone here on Mallorca to whom you can recommend buying one of the boxes – please do! They are in great condition, sustainably produced in Portugal and no longer available with this small floor space.

Next Livestream (in German)
Felix Wittke will be visiting the Online Salon studio on Thursday. In the livestream, he will talk to Doris about how we can enrich / supplement / expand interactive methods with generative AI. An interesting event for anyone who moderates events / workshops / meetings. It will also be about Liberating Structures.
